I’ve had such a warm welcome to DOES! Things are starting to get busy--Monthly classroom lessons have begun. Please be on the lookout for a follow up sheet that will go home after I’ve visited your child’s class. As things get busy, remember to the importance of staying involved. Here are a few fun ways to ask your child, “How was school today?”"
What was the best thing that happened at school today?
Where is the coolest place at school?
How did someone help you today?
When were you the happiest today?
Who would you like to play with at recess that you’ve never played with before?
What do you think you should do/learn more of at school?
Where do you play the most at recess?
What was your favorite part of lunch?
Tell me about 3 different ties you used your pencil today at school.
What word did your teacher say most today?
Communication is critical to ensure that children are feeling happy, successful, and heard. Setting a routine of communicating daily will support problem solving in the future, in addition to strengthening language development. Please know you can always communicate with me, as well.
