The Hour of Code

Thu, 11/29/2018 - 2:54pm

The Hour of Code is an event encouraging an introductory hour of computer science for students worldwide. It occurs the first week in December. Dayton Oaks students began preparing this week for the Hour of Code by completing an hour of unplugged coding. Next week, we will begin working through the coding challenges on the Hour of Code Website, and learning how to program Dash and Dot and the Ozobots, our school robots. We encourage you to join us by working with your child on an hour of code in the month of December. The Hour of Code website lists many unplugged activities that do not require a computer or device to practice computational thinking. You can access more information about the Hour of Code at https://hourofcode.com/us.
