Family File
Family File is back and has been open for business since August 6th. When parents log in through HCPSS Connect, there will be a link directing them to the Family File section. Once logged in, parents will be able to provide or update all of their contact information, medical considerations, and preferences in approximately 10 minutes. For existing parents: 1. Login and password are the same as last year. 2. Your student’s data will be there from last year. You can then just update that information. If you encounter any problems logging in or accessing Family File, please send an email with your question or problem to DOESFamilyFileIssues@hcpss.org.

Who will be my child's teacher?
Due to changes in confidentiality practices, class lists are no longer posted outside of any HCPSS school. Parents will be able to find out their child’s teachers by logging into HCPSS Connect on Wednesday, August 29th. Additionally, staff will be able to provide you with this information at our Open House. A great deal of time, effort and thought has gone into student placement for the 2018-19 school year. Careful consideration was given to all educational stakeholders. Our classrooms have been balanced both academically and socially. We strive to keep our classrooms a positive learning experience for each and every student at Dayton Oaks ES.
First Day of School
Tuesday, September 4th. Doors open at 8:50 a.m. Daily Schedule begins @ 9:00 a.m. Students must be on-time starting day one. Please be sure your child knows how he/she will arrive and depart from school. Students should arrive on the first day of school the way they will arrive throughout the school year. If your child rides a bus, please have him/her ride the bus on the first day. This enables us to tag backpacks with bus numbers which helps students get on the right bus in the afternoon. We will have many, many staff available to greet students when they get off the bus and to help them get to the right classroom. Staff will also assist students in getting on the right bus at the end of the day. Due to the large number of students entering our building each day and the need to follow our security procedures, parents are not able to walk their children to classrooms. Thank you for assisting us in having a safe and welcoming first day of school.
Please refer to the following DOES ArrivalDismissal Procedures Brochure that will be sent home in your child’s Thursday Folder or on the Dayton Oaks ES website.
