Helpful Hints from the Health Room

Dear Parents,
It is already cold and flu season!  Let’s be very proactive about stopping the spread of germs!   If you have not already received a flu vaccine, the CDC recommends that people be vaccinated anytime between now and the end of October. The CDC recommends an annual flu vaccine for everyone age six months and older.
Parents, please remember that students should remain at home for at least 24 hours after their fevers have broken, and remain afebrile without medication.  If your child has been experiencing vomiting and/or diarrhea, please keep them at home for at least 24 hours after those symptoms have ceased.
As always, cough hygiene and proper handwashing are the most effective way to stop the spread of germs.  At home, try to disinfect frequently touched surfaces on a regular basis, particularly during flu season.
Please visit the CDC website for more information about the flu.  https://www.cdc.gov/flu

Additionally, A  big thank you to the parents that volunteered to help for our flu clinic!  They were a huge help and we could not have done it without them!
