Dear Dayton Oaks Families,
It has been quite a week at Dayton Oaks. Our Kindness Challenge Week coincided with mother nature. We thank you all for your understanding and flexibility regarding the late starts, early dismissals and snow days. Student safety is the number one concern, which is a key factor for the county’s decision whether or not to close. Thank you for maintaining up-to-date information in your emergency file, and communicating any changes with the front office.
When school is in session, please make sure your child is in school every day. We understand students have appointments from time to time. Please make every attempt to schedule appointments that limit late arrivals and early dismissals. If your child is absent, please also make sure you provide documentation for the absence. The front office can address any questions you may have.
Our Change Matters campaign ended on Friday. We thank you all for your generosity contributing change towards a local cause-The Grassroots Center. Your thoughtful contributions stay right here in Howard County, while also reinforcing to our students the importance of giving and generosity.
Sincerely,
Nigel La Roche Adrienne Williams-McKinney
