Dear Dayton Oaks families,
Our Kindness Challenge Week and Change Matters campaign ended yesterday. We thank you all for your generosity contributing change towards a local cause-The Grassroots Center. Your thoughtful contributions stay right here in Howard County, while also reinforcing to our students the importance of giving and generosity.
When school is in session, please make sure your child is in school every day. We understand students have appointments from time to time. Please make every attempt to schedule appointments that limit late arrivals and early dismissals. If your child is absent, please also make sure you provide documentation for the absence. The front office can address any questions you may have.
Lastly, We appreciate all our PTA does to support our school. From providing dinner to staff during parent conferences to supporting the purchase of materials for teachers, the DOES PTA is an important component of our DOES community. When we all work together amazing things can be accomplished. If you are interested in learning about how you can support our school please attend our upcoming PTA general meeting on February 12th. At that meeting, Lori Jones and representatives from the Dayton Oaks’ STEAM team will be sharing information and resources regarding Cyber Safety, including bringing an awareness of new technology lessons for intermediate students related to Grace's Law. We hope you can join us.
Sincerely,
Nigel La Roche Adrienne Williams-McKinney
