The Dayton Oaks Regional Early Childhood Center (RECC) toddler and preschool program is now accepting applications for the 3-year-old classes for the 2014-2015 school year. These classes include children with and without disabilities. The program’s focus is helping all children develop communication, literacy, math, problem solving, motor, and social skills. Parents of children who will be 3 years of age for the 2014-2015 school year (born between 9/1/2010 and 12/31/2011) may see Patti Waldman in the school office for an application package.
All applications must be returned by May 23, 2014. A limited number of openings are available for children without disabilities. Children are selected based upon screening information given on the application form and the “Ages and Stages Questionnaire,” as well as observations of the child’s mandatory participation in a playgroup, to be held at Dayton Oaks on May 28, 2014, at 9:15 am. If necessary, a lottery process is conducted. If you have any questions, please contact Megan Battle or Sheila Schlosser at (410) 313-1581.
