Carol DeBord

Mrs. DeBord has been the principal at Dayton Oaks Elementary School for 4 years now, and after opening the building in 2006, she has grown to know the Dayton Oaks community. Mrs. DeBord served as the Assistant Principal at Pointers Run Elementary, Dayton Oaks Elementary, and, most recently, at Forest Ridge Elementary School. Mrs. DeBord earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Reading from Towson State University. She earned a graduate certificate in School Administration and Supervision from Loyola University. When away from school, Mrs. DeBord enjoys spending time at the lake with her family, gardening, and spending time with friends.

Heather Tracy

Heather Tracy Assistant Principal heather_tracy@hcpss.org
This is Ms. Tracy's 4th year as Assistant Principal at Dayton Oaks. Heather Tracy has worked as an Elementary School Counselor in Anne Arundel County Public Schools since 2000. In addition, Ms. Tracy has been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at a private practice, working with children ages 12 and under. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Graduate Certificate in School Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University. When away from school, Ms. Tracy enjoys reading, music, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
