Math Night!

Where: Dayton Oaks Elementary School

Time: 6:30-7:45 PM
Who: Parents AND ALL Dayton Oaks Elementary School Students, RECC-5th Grade
 
We are extremely excited to be offering a fun-filled evening of engaging math activities for students at every grade level at DOES.  Students who attend the DOES Math Night will learn several new interactive math games, specific to each grades’ math standards, and will get to take home all of the materials to continue to play those games throughout the year!
 
Parents attending the DOES Math Night will get to listen to an informative and enlightening talk given by John SanGiovanni, the Coordinator of Elementary Mathematics for the Howard County Public School System, as well as learn the games coming home with your children.

Parents’ session will focus on the following…
·      expectations for mathematics in 2018
·      balanced mathematics teaching and learning
·      myths and facts about teaching and learning mathematics
·      practical ways to help our students at home
