Halloween Celebration

Thu, 10/18/2018 - 3:10pm

Halloween will still be celebrated at DOES. There will be a procession outside for families to see the children parade in costumes, starting on the blacktop. Immediately following, there will be a short celebration in the classrooms. Unfortunately, we cannot have families or visitors in the building for the celebration. This is due to the safety of all our students and community. Classrooms will have a few volunteers for the celebration. But, we will not have any visitors being able to sign in to go back to the classrooms.
Please remember that all costumes should be able to be put on by children independently and in a quick manner. We cannot have any masks or weapons as accessories to a costume, your child will be asked not to wear this, and it will be placed in their backpack.
RECC (Regional Early Childhood Center) morning classes will have their parade during the morning of October 30th. They will travel around the interior of the school trick or treating. Afternoon Pre-K class will join the school parade on the 31st.   Additional information will be communicated from your child’s RECC teacher.
