It’s my favorite time of the year! Not only because it’s my birthday month but because it’s a great time to take a moment to be thankful & show kindness! Although they are so many great books, below are a few of my favorite that focus on gratitude that you can enjoy as a family:
Bear Says Thanks by Karma Wilson
Thanks a Million by Nikki Grimes
An Awesome Book of Thanks by Dallas Clayton
Gratitude Soup by Olivia Rosewood
Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are? By Dr. Seuss
Classroom lessons in November and December will focus on effort and goal setting as we start a new quarter of learning! We will keep a focus on kindness through two upcoming school-wide events:
World Kindness Day on November 13th
Students & staff will be encouraged to take a moment to participate in small acts of kindness
International Tolerance Day on November 16th
Students & staff are invited to dress wacky & tacky to celebrate our individuality & inclusion
Please feel free to reach out if you would like additional ideas on kindness & gratitude. -Mrs. Dix, School Counselor
